Main text do not prescribe anything except that anyone who has been officer shall not be employed as mere cavalry soldier or infantry soldier, but in no way require that anyone shall be employed at his previous rank.- When it is further researched what Didrichsen’s older military rank was, he, then, claims to have been citizen’s military captain, however, chamberlain von Holten’s note dated the 13 of February, last, a copy of which is attached, shows that he has never been in militia service, but, was, however, in 1807 commander of the schooner Fikke, and there, he has, however, not likely had rank of captain in the militia. In the rocket corps, he was only a lieutenant.- As now, since Didrichsen[s] cavalry captaincy, then, appears entirely duplicitous, a capacity in which, it is manifest that he has not been recognized by the squadron or the city colonel, I do not dare at all to recommend him to most graciously be granted, by Your Majesty, the ensign of the army, in as much as his claims hardly could be given a milder name than deliberate untruths brought before his king, unless he can show commission from lieutenant general von Oxholm as captain of cavalry at the Prince’s Squadron.-

Main text To the King! Most humble report! I should not fail most humbly to report that second lieutenant von Grimlund, on the 11th, instant, passed away as a consequence of severe convulsive seizures and likewise that he was buried that same day with military honors.

Main text To the King! Most humble report! The 19th of January, the brig Bornholm’s longboats brought up a schooner that stranded in an outer bay on St. Thomas, and which was found to carry the name Conejon (the little rabbit) and be in possession of a privateer letter issued by the insurgency chief Don Simon Bolivar.
